The Supple Fitness Studio

After regular appointments with Sarah my self-esteem has been restored. I first went to her for massage to treat a painful lower back, but was so impressed by her expertise and my improved well-being that I decided to try individual yoga / Pilates sessions. Her ability and attention to detail, tailoring her skills to my specific needs, has given me a renewed zest for life and greater body awareness. The tastefully relaxing and spotlessly clean studio is a further reflection of her impeccably high standards. The best decision I made was to book that first appointment.(Heather 1:1 Pilates/Yoga 2016)

My sessions with Sarah at Supple Fitness are always challenging and fun and specifically tailored to my goals and needs. It’s vital for me to have Sarah’s expert tuition to ensure that I’m getting the benefit of each movement or pose. Counteracting years of being stuck behind a desk will always take time but I’ve really noticed the improvement in my connection to my body and the difference that makes not just in my Pilates class but also in my regular gym programme, at the climbing wall and in day to day life. Sarah put us at our ease straight away and the hour lessons went very quickly also achieving a lot in that time. I now attend one of Sarah’s small morning classes and feel extremely confident in doing all the exercises knowing that in our private sessions we were taught very well with the correct positions and breathing techniques. Sarah considers any injuries or weakness’s and ensures that you perform all the exercises in a safe manner. We would both recommend Sarah to anyone wishing to take up Pilates. My journey back to fitness began with me joining Pilates at Supple Fitness.  From that point on Sarah’s attention to an individual’s needs and capabilities has enabled me to grow not only in fitness but also confidence.  I was able to start my slimming plan and together with Sarah’s attention to detail tone my body as I slimmed down.  I continue my journey to a better me with the continued support of Sarah at Supple Fitness.  Thank you. During my time on a 9 month RAF Physical Training Instructor Course, I was looking for someone local who I could visit for regular sports massage. Luckily, I discovered Sarah on the Internet and she turned out to be a god send in making my time on an extremely physical course relatively pain free. Having had trouble with my QL muscle she ensured it was manageable for me to carry on exercising and I looked forward to seeing her in a professional and friendly environment. I’ll definitely be hard pushed to find someone as good at my next unit! (Rachael Sports Massage 2015)

Sports Massage Therapy

My name is Ian Littleford, age 40, and in the summer of 2008 I undertook a charity walk in the Scottish Highlands called the Caledonian Challenge, having to cover 54 miles in 24 hours around the Ben Nevis and Glencoe section of the West Highland Way, which I managed to finish in 22 1/2 hours but tore a calf muscle at halfway and only just managed to complete. Recuperation afterwards was a slow process. I wanted to go back again this year to do it again and did so in June 2009. Training started in November 2008 however I was plagued with calf problems during training. I met Sarah early this year and explained my problems to her, and not only did she offer valuable advice around training and stretching post-training, along with example exercises to combat other muscle niggles during my preparation, she also provided sports massages on a regular basis which had a dramatic effect in improving how far I could push myself during training and helped with recovery afterwards. Result was that I completed the Challenge over 3 hours faster than my first attempt (19 1/2 hrs), finding myself able to push far harder than last year through the mountainous sections of the route and having no injury problems at all, with recuperation afterwards no problem either. I can’t thank her enough in helping me achieve and indeed beat my time target goal of 20 hrs – thank you so much for your help Sarah!

Sarah was recommended to me from a member at DW gym.  My 16 year old son plays ice hockey and recently had been experiencing some muscular problems in his right shoulder.  I took him along to Sarah for a Sports Massage.  She was very professional at all times and put him at ease.  She worked on his shoulders-talking him through what she was doing and the benefits that he would get from the massage.  After the massage she advised him on stretches to do on a regular basis which would help keep it supple.  Since the massage his shoulder is 100% better.  Thank you so much Sarah.

I have visited Sarah on several occasions with minor injuries that I wanted putting right.  Sarah is excellent and helped me with my problems every time.  She is very knowledgeable, professional, offers advice on how to treat and prevent problems and she is a very friendly lady.  I have no hesitation in recommending Sarah to anyone who suffers from injuries and wants to overcome them quickly. Its sad to see you leave this area and I have really appreciated your help and for this i thank you.

Pilates & Yoga

“I started attending Pilates classes with Sarah in Jan 2009. My inspiration was that I was getting Married in Jan 2010 and needed to drop a size to get into my dress! I also wanted to improve my overall flexibility and felt that Pilates was the way forward. After the first 3 months I noticed a dramatic difference in my flexibility and core strength and after a second dress fitting found out I was well on my way to dropping a dress size. Ten months on I have reduced my waist measurements by 2inches and my hip measurement by 1 .5inches. I have also started to attend a Yoga class that Sarah teaches and have found that doing both together has been a great benefit. I would highly recommend attending Sarah’s classes as they are fun, educational and supportive as you can work to whatever level suits you personally and she will always offer options if you find there is something you can not do.”

Rebeccca Moruzzi

I have attended Sarah’s classes for the last six months and in that time I have lost over a stone in weight and gone down two dress sizes from a size 12 to a size 8.  I attended Boot Camp  once a week and two Pilates.  The Boot Camp helped me with my weight loss, although now I just want to maintain my weight and go to Pilates for toning my body all over.  Sarah always encourages you to work at you own level as quality is better is better than quantity.  I am very pleased with the overall results.

I have attended Sarah’s Pilates and Yoga classes for a number of years.  Her classes are suitable for all ages irrespective of their abilities, and she will adapt the movements for those who may not be quite so agile and supple, whilst also bringing a fun element to the session.  She is a lovely pleasant lady with a ready smile for all concerned.  I personally will miss Sarah and the classes she teaches.

Hazel Scrivener

I must thank you for your wonderful Yoga and Pilates classes- always challenging- gently correcting positions so that we always obtain the optimum yet don’t damage our somewhat aged and fragile bodies!!!  Your skill, gentleness and humour will be greatly missed.

Tessa Drury

I have attended Sarah’s Pilates and Yoga Classes now for about two years
which are excellent! Sarah skillfully demonstrates each routine at
beginners through to advanced postures so you can choose the option that
is just right for your own level and ability. Sarah is a lovely lady,
who puts you at ease and gently increases your strength, flexibility and
balance throughout the classes. I would thoroughly recommend Sarah’s
classes to everyone. Whatever your age or ability Sarah will help you
with her sensitivity, gentle and calm approach!! Thank you Sarah.

Sarah of ‘Supple Fitness’ has led four six week fitness courses at Lord Silkin School to teenage girls many of whom are switched off by sport.   Each session had a different focus and included ‘boot camp’ (circuits), cheerleading, hula, street dance, yoga and pilates and the girls learnt moves and used equipment relating to the particular discipline. The students responded positively to Sarah’s warm, friendly and relaxed manner and enjoyed the variety of approaches to fitness. They engaged enthusiastically with the activities feeling valued and unthreatened by Sarah’s gentle but inspiring approach.   The girls had fun and as a result they are aware of the diversity and range of enjoyable options open to them in the quest to keep fit!
Sandra Davies
School Sports Co-ordinator, The Lord Silkin School
Sarah has been into Lord Silkin school to deliver a planned six week programme to both year 9 and 10 students during their PE lessons.  There has been a wide variety of activities including Yoga and Street Dance.  The activities were particularly enjoyed by the girls.  The activities have given us ideas as staff and aided the enjoyment of the students.  I would thoroughly recommend Sarah to deliver her programme of activities in any school.
Holly Rigby. Head of Physical Education
Sarah came into our school during the summer term of 2010 to lead a programme of Fitness Club sessions for our Key Stage 1 pupils.  Throughout this time she was both reliable and punctual.  Sarah formed positive relationships with staff and children and had a professional approach towards her work.  The children thoroughly enjoyed the club and its wide range of exciting activities.  I would have no hesitation in recommending Sarah to other schools.
Kirstie Bass.  Deputy Headteacher, Dawley C of E Primary School

Sarah has been working for us as a Sports Coach for our school and the Pheonix Partnership for the last four years.  She has been an inspiration to so many children.  She has taught Pilates, Tai-Chi, Yoga, Street Dance, Cheerleading and Aerobics to our secondary and primary school children, as well as running a Reception/ Key Stage 1 club in our cluster of primary schools.

She is always well prepared and organised and works well with all staff and pupils.  She is punctual and well presented and would be an asset to any employer.  She is reliable and trustworthy, as she has done some of the coaching at such short notice, she has never let us down! She will be missed in our Partnership.

Sharon Thomas.  PE Teacher/School Sports Co-ordinator, HLC

Sarah has been teaching and coaching in our school for the majority of this year.  She has run a number of taster sessions during the curriculum time  and provided a Yoga and Hula Fit Club for years 4-6 after school.  She is extremely reliable and provides an exceptionally high standard of delivery.  She provides all her own equipment and has forged excellent relationships with the children who all have enjoyed her classes even if they were on a Friday after school!  The children have descibed her as “kind” and “funny”  and enjoy her classes as they “keep you fit”.  Perhaps the best thing I can say is that the children come and find me when the sessions finish to find out what she is offering next term and to collect a form to sign up again! I am only gutted that she is no longer able to continue providing this service in Telford and I have no hesitation in recommending Sarah to you and your school.
